So True! My six year old daughter grossed $35 in sales revenue in one hour from her fold up card table lemonade stand she put in front of the elementary school just before school let out. She then donated the funds to the local animal shelter for cats. Her gratification was the venture itself more than the money, and she loved being recognized in the animal shelter newsletter as a donor. The lemonade wasn't that great but the support poured out from everwhere in fast order.

Absolutely brilliant!

In addition to all of the insights you shared, I'd also like to point out a few other takeaways:

1) the eight-year old didn't think about writing a business plan and ask for VC for funding. He simply took action and just started the lemonade stand. A lot of us just sat there and thought about ideas without taking action.

2) the eight-year old didn't go to a VC for funding. :-) he probably got a little bit money from his parents. he had to learn to be frugal, and saved the cash to sustain his small operation.

3) a large part of entrepreneurship is about selling.
